We will be closed on Monday, September 2, for Labor Day. We will be running the North A & B Routes on Tuesday, September 3. Please call us at 719-783-3456 if you have any questions. Have a safe Labor Day!
We can’t help the weather! If it is snowing and you live in the county, then we will be back the next time that you are scheduled. Credits will not be issued as we will be picking up twice as much trash the next time we are out. Thank you for your understanding.
It is your responsibility to have your driveway and dumpster plowed. We will not make a special trip free of charge if we cannot access your property during your scheduled route.
Please note: We require roadways to be a minimum of 10 feet wide for our trucks to access your container. If you are unable to get your driveway plowed, then please call so we can make other arrangements to get your garbage picked up.
Mud– During the spring time, mud can wreak havoc on our routes. If it is very muddy, then we will not risk coming up your driveway and causing damage to it. It may be best for you to bring your trash to the end of your driveway. We will try to come up your driveway, but if we, in any way, start to make a rut, then we will have to try again on your next scheduled route.
To Toss or Not To Toss [See Details]
Extra Pickup: If you need an extra pick up, then please give us as much notice as possible. Additional charges will be applied and vary based on the route schedule.
Special Instructions: If you have any special instructions then please give us at least one day notice.
Extra Items: Please do not set extra items in front of the dumpster. Put them to the side or behind.
Snow Plowing: Please do not plow snow against the dumpster. We have to be able to back the truck up to the dumpster in order to take the garbage.
Skipped Pickup: If for some reason you were accidentally skipped, then please call us right away so that we may correct the error.
Payment Details: Our preferred method of payment is ACH. Please call the office for additional information. Payments not received within fifteen days of the first of the month will result in service being discontinued and dumpster/totes being removed from the location.
Past due accounts will be placed with a collection agency.
A majority of the county will experience bears!
It is the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s stand that that only people can prevent problems with bears and that garbage kills bears! We can provide you with a ‘bear resistant’ dumpster for an additional fee. These dumpsters have reinforced lids. These lids are heavier to lift, but have successfully kept the bears out for fifteen years. CDOW approves!
Many of our customers have successfully kept the bears out by placing plywood on the lids, and a ratchet strap across the plywood. It has been our experience that the bears will try to get in the container and then move on. They have been known to knock the dumpster over and roll them around! If the bear discovers that he can get into your dumpster, then he will keep coming!
For more information of living with bears please visit the Colorado Division of Wildlife website at:www.wildlife.state.co.us/bears
e-waste services: We collect e-waste Monday – Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm. The cost is $1.00 per pound.
Items need to be brought to the shop.
Often times we get asked what we can and cannot take in our trash trucks. We have taken the time to compile a list of items that we cannot take to the landfill. Some of these are hazardous and cannot be put in the ground, while some could damage our trash trucks, others are recycled and cannot be separated out, once in our trucks.
We are unable to take hazardous materials such as: PAINT, TIRES, ANTIFREEZE, BATTERIES, GAS, or OIL.
PLEASE NOTE – Electronics are considered hazardous. They cannot be thrown out. You can bring them to the yard where we will weigh them and recycle them for $1.00 per pound.
FYI: If you take the lids off of your paint cans and let it dry, then they can then be placed in the dumpster.
WHITE GOODS are items such as: HOT WATER HEATERS, WASHERS, DRYERS, REFRIGERATORS and FREEZERS. We are unable to take these items in the trash trucks as they are RECYCLED. Please call us at 783-3456 for drop off information.
CONCRETE, ROCKS, and BRICKS may only be taken if they are broken down to a size SMALLER than a fist. Large chunks of such items will be thrown out of the dumpster.
If you have any additional questions about what can and cannot be thrown away, then please feel free to call at 783-3456 or ask any of the driver’s when they are on your route.
